Le Fraghe

2023 Traccia Di Bianco Veneto IGT

Ripe peach and apricot give this wine an immediate generosity, but give it a little air, and it starts heading somewhere much more interesting. Saffron, crushed stone, and the faintest petrol note begin to emerge, hinting at what this could become with a few years in the bottle. It has real weight, with this nice acidity that comes in at just the right moment, and a salty, stony character that keeps the wine moving. The finish just hangs there. Grilled fish, lobster pasta, a wedge of blue cheese? Absolutely.
