Le Fraghe

2021 Montalto Cabernet Franc Veneto IGT

This one has a bit more seriousness to it. The tannins have grip, though they are surprisingly polished, and the wine keeps opening the longer it sits in the glass. Sour cherry and blueberry move into violet, licorice, and something a little darker and more savoury as it goes I’d happily put this beside charcoal-grilled meat, a slow braise, or a properly aged cheese.
