Alario Claudio

2021 Barolo DOCG Cru Riva Rocca MGA MAGNUM

This is the vineyard where Claudio Alario crafted his first Barolo in 1995. He was instantly drawn to the chalky subsoil, which sets this Verduno site apart and gives its Nebbiolo a broader, more refined tannic profile. Classified as an MGA, or Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva, the vineyard highlights a unique combination of soils, exposures, and microclimates. By selecting the best bunches, every bottle captures the elegance, depth, and distinctive character of this remarkable cru.
