Château Peybonhomme-les-Tours

2024 La Cuvée des 2C, Vin de France

The Hubert family welcomes newborns Camille and Colette with this new cuvée, The 2 Cs. Syrah and Touriga Nacional, rare in the Gironde, find their place here through biodynamic farming, revealing a wine that is supple, ripe, and mineral, with soft tannins. An easy-drinking red, it is perfect lightly chilled for summer picnics, grilled foods, or simple shared plates like Portuguese petiscos.

Vineyard & Vine Age: Syrah and Touriga Nacional, two rare varieties in the Gironde, are grown biodynamically on complementary soils: chalky clay for Syrah and gravelly silt for Touriga Nacional. Vines are trained in double Guyot, with winter grass cover and spring tillage. Average vine age is seven years, yields are around 30 hL/ha, and production is limited to 4,000 bottles.

Cellar: The grapes are blended at harvest and co-fermented. Vinification uses gentle whole-berry extraction with spontaneous fermentation by indigenous yeasts.
