2023 Chablis AOC 1er Cru Montmains

From the illustrious Montmains 1er Cru, the left bank’s unofficial answer to the Grand Cru Chablis site on the right, is treated to a careful hand, biodynamic practice, and given an intelligent and unsparing élevage in 100% French oak 228L Burgundy barrels for eight months before being married another four months in stainless before bottling. 12.5% ABV and best at 7-8 years old but delicious today as well. Rich enough to pair with delicate poultry and richer sautéed fish dishes.
