Vineyard:  2021 base vintage. Benoît Coulon has 16 hectares situated in Rochecorbon, 5ha of which are in the Clos des Aumônes itself, on the première côte. Beyond this, 2/3rd of Benoît's vines are similarly positioned on the première côte, including La Fuye, which sits near the 15th-century watchtower called La Lantern, overlooking the Loire. The remaining one-third of his vines is positioned higher up on the plateau, nestled in the Vaufoynard valley, which is on the western end of the appellation, and not far back from the plateau edge. The soils are principally clay over a deep bed of Turonian limestone. The soils are peppered with fossilised shark teeth. The domaine is planted entirely to Chenin Blanc, dedicated to the production of Vouvray in all its forms. Vineyards under organic conversion since 2022.
