2025 Lost Horn Vineyard Cabernet Franc

Ryan gives this Cabernet Franc a single-culture fermentation and eight months in neutral barrels, wisely letting the grape be itself rather than dressing it up as something bigger. And I love Franc in this mood. Juicy red cherry, plum, a little purple fruit, and that unmistakable flicker of green pepper that makes the variety so charming. It belongs in a bustling French brasserie, somewhere between a frisée salad with lardons, steak tartare, and a second helping of bread and butter.
